On April 18, 2011 a 20lbs explosive hidden in the roof of a building in Sangin Afghanistan sent this United States Marine flying through the air without a parachute. Despite losing both his legs above the knee this active young man didn't stop living life to the fullest. While recovering at Naval Medical Center San Diego, he re-learned swimming, SCUBA diving, rock climbing, cycling, and running. He also picked up some new interests including surfing, rowing, kayaking, and mono-skiing. Of all his activities he focused on mono-skiing and was accepted on a world class ski team in Aspen Colorado only 15 months after his initial injury. Today this professional athlete is on his second season ski racing against other Paralympic hopefuls from 14 different countries. His name is Josh Elliott and buying this water bottle will help Josh continue his journey to glory. "I am a servant. I served my country as a Marine. Now I am serving my county again by competing in the 2018 Paralympics and bringing home the gold."
